Marine Biology Students Win Big at IAAS Conference

We are thrilled to congratulate our Marine Biology students who won Best Poster Awards at the recent Israeli Association for Aquatic Sciences (IAAS) conference.

  • Omri Lapidot, a PhD student in the Marine Ecology and Ocean Health Lab led by Dr. Igal Berenshtein, secured 3rd place for his research on “Assessing the environmental impact of chronic oil pollution on the marine environment.” 
  • Elinor Nadir, a co-mentee of Prof. Tamar Lotan (Cnidarians Developmental Biology & Molecular Ecology Lab) and Prof. Yehuda Benayahu (Tel Aviv University), earned 2nd place for her work on “Understanding regeneration processes in the Xenia coral.” 

We at the School of Marine Sciences are immensely proud of Omri and Elinor for their outstanding achievements, and we wish them continued success in their research careers.
