The Charney School Hosts Successful IAAC Annual Meeting of Graduate Students in Systems and Control
05.06.2024
The Israeli Association for Automatic Control (IAAC) held its annual meeting of graduate students in Systems and Control for the first time at the University of Haifa, and it was a success!
Organized by Professor Itzik Klein from the Department of Marine Technologies, the event featured an engaging invited talk by Professor Yizhaq Makovsky on “Deep Sea Exploration Using Robotic and Autonomous Vehicles.”
The program also included presentations by two of our PhD students:
Daniel Engelsman (CMS, UoH; supervisor: Prof. I. Klein) presented on “Towards Learning-Based Gyrocompassing.”
Dan Solodar (CMS, UoH; supervisor: Prof. I. Klein) discussed “VIO-DualProNet: Visual-Inertial Odometry with Learning Based Process Noise Covariance.”
In addition, three of our talented students, Nadav Cohen, Aviad Etzion, and Zeev Yampolsky, skillfully chaired the conference sessions.
We’re thrilled with the success of this event and look forward to many more productive gatherings in the future!
