Unveiling the Colors of the Deep: Groundbreaking Underwater Colorimetry Course Concludes in Eilat
Our groundbreaking Underwater Colorimetry course in IUI-Eilat, designed and led by Dr. Derya Akkaynak from the Hatter Department of Marine Technologies, successfully concluded.
This revolutionary program delved into the fascinating world of color, from theoretical concepts to hands-on engineering. Students explored how light interacts with water, analyzed color spaces, and mastered using trichromatic cameras for objective and repeatable underwater color capture. Now, these budding marine scientists can capture objective, repeatable color data underwater, unlocking a whole new realm of research possibilities.
Kudos to Dr. Akkaynak and all the participants for pioneering this exciting new field.
