Kellogg School of Management Delegation Visits the Charney School 

On Tuesday, September 3, 2025, the  Charney School and the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Haifa had the honor of hosting an international delegation from the Crown Family Israel Center for Innovation (ICI), the flagship program of the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University – one of the world’s most prestigious business schools.

The delegation, composed of approximately 30 MBA and EMBA students and professionals, visited Israel to explore its dynamic innovation ecosystem, with a focus on climate, environmental, and health-related technologies. The visit centered on academic entrepreneurship, applied innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The day was led by Elik Almog, Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, who introduced the university’s impact-driven initiatives.

Prof. Michal Biron, from the School of Business Administration, presented the university’s business and management research.
Dr. Yaron Bogin, Head of BlueTech and Sustainable Agriculture at the Charney School, showcased the school’s marine innovation efforts.
The delegation participated in an entrepreneurship session featuring early-stage ventures and roundtable discussions with entrepreneurs from diverse fields.

The second part of the day focused on marine science research:

  • Prof. Dan Tchernov, Head of the Charney School, welcomed the group.
  • Technologies developed at the Autonomous Navigation and Sensor Fusion Lab (ANSFL), led by Prof. Itzik Klein, were presented. 
  • Prof. Roee Diamant introduced research from the Underwater Acoustics and Navigation Lab (ANL).

The visit reflected the interdisciplinary spirit of innovation at the University of Haifa and the strong connection between academic research, entrepreneurship, and real-world solutions to global challenges.
