Celebrating Innovation and Sustainability: Successful Demo Day for Second Cohort of SwitchMed Blue Economy Entrepreneurship Program
The Charney School of Marine Sciences and the University of Haifa Innovation Labs successfully concluded the second cohort of the SwitchMed Blue Economy Entrepreneurship Program with a remarkable Demo-Day event.
Participants had the opportunity to showcase their projects to a distinguished panel of judges.
We are proud to announce the three winning projects:

Dr. Tal Luzzatto Knaan – Interdisciplinary Center for Metabolomics
Amir Dayan – Microplastics Collecting Autonomous Robot

The SwitchMed Blue Economy program, which attracted 20 participants this year, featured nine sessions focused on entrepreneurship and business development, alongside content focused on the blue economy, reducing damage to the marine environment and maintaining sustainability values.
Throughout the program, each participant received personalized guidance to develop their projects while incorporating the principles of the circular economy.
We were honored to have Ms. Noelia Martínez, Project Manager of the European Union’s Green Entrepreneurship (SwitchMed) , as our special guest at the final event.
