אנחנו חוקרים טפילים אובליגטוריים ייחודיים מקבוצת המיקסוזואה (Myxozoa) ממערכת הצורבים (Cnidaria). המחקר מתמקד ביחסי הגומלין בין הטפיל למאכסן, ובוחן את מנגנוני ההדבקה ואת דרכי התמודדות של שני סוגי מאכסנים (דגים) – האחד עמיד לטפיל והשני רגיש.
המשרה דורשת עבודת שטח לאיסוף דגימות ולחקר המיקסוזואה בסביבתם הטבעית, ולאחר מכן מחקר מולקולרי בשיטות שונות הכוללות השוואות גנומיות, פרוטאומיקה ומטבולומיקה.
ניסיון בשיטות מולקולריות ובביואינפורמטיקה הכרחי.
