כנס חיפה ה-12 לחקר הים התיכון: סיסמולוגיה וגיאופיזיקה ימית

The 12th edition of the Haifa conference on Marine Sciences will take place on 9th of September 2026, with the theme of: Seismology and Earthquake Science, Links to Marine Geophysical Investigations and Fluid-Induced Seismicity.
This annual symposium in memory of Dr. Hillel Wust-Bloch traditionally broadly focused on Seismology and Earthquake Science, is designed to bridge the gap between academic geophysical research advancements and their practical applications, ensuring that the latest scientific discoveries translate into improvements in earthquake forecasting, preparedness and community safety.
By expanding this year (2026) symposium to areas of Marine Geophysics and Fluid-induced seismicity, complex challenges in assessments of natural marine-sourced disasters, in responsible energy developments, and in other human-related activities, will be discussed.
