Her research explores how climate change and environmental stressors influence marine microorganisms, biogeochemical cycles, and food\u2011web dynamics across aquatic environments \u2014 from freshwater ecosystems to the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea, and oligotrophic oceanic regions worldwide.<br \/>She currently serves as Head of the Mediterranean Sea Research Center of Israel (MERCI) and has played a pivotal role in establishing DeepLev, the first deep\u2011water moored research station in the eastern Levantine basin.
