Dr. Oren Gal’s Swarms and AI Lab (SAIL) at the Hatter Department of Marine Technology is collaborating with Rafael Advanced Defense Systems on the European Union’s #UnderSec project!<\/p>

Our research team is developing advanced algorithms for underwater target detection through multi-sensor data fusion – cutting-edge technology that will enhance the security of maritime infrastructure and protect marine ecosystems.<\/p>

The UnderSec project focuses on developing innovative technologies to safeguard vessels, marine infrastructure, and marine ecosystems from illegal activities. The project integrates multi-modal sensors and advanced robotic tools to deliver underwater security solutions of the highest caliber.<\/p>

Dr. Gal’s laboratory expertise in data processing and maritime algorithms is a vital component of this project, representing international recognition of the quality of research and development conducted at the School of Marine Sciences.<\/p>
