Employment Possibilities for Graduates of the Charney School of Marine Sciences<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The central mission of the Leon H. Charney School of Marine Sciences is to train the next generation of scientists and professionals required for continued marine science developments and research.<\/p>

The school\u2019s diverse theoretical and practical programs in critical disciplines create a range of employment opportunities.<\/p>

Graduates of the school’s postgraduate programs are currently playing leading roles in Israeli and global research, industry, economy, security and government organizations, and have positions at top commercial enterprises around the world.<\/p>

The current and future impact of our graduates on decisions regarding the use of the marine environment, minerals, cultural assets, surroundings, and coastal areas is enormous. This influence is based on their broad environmental, economic, and technological understanding of the overall marine space.<\/p>

Graduates of the Marine Technologies Department<\/strong> <\/a>will find employment in security-oriented engineering companies that focus on military marine issues, and in IT companies and start-ups developing sensors, data analysis tools, autonomic technologies, and more.<\/p>

Graduates of the Marine Geosciences Department<\/strong> <\/a>will find employment in the gas and oil industries, government research institutes (the Geological Survey of Israel, the Geophysical Institute of Israel, and the Israel Oceanographic and Limnological Research Institute), the Ministry of Energy, engineering companies, environmental consulting organizations, green\/environmental organizations, government ministries, marine monitoring firms, and in a variety of maritime-oriented positions, academic research, and teaching.<\/p>

Graduates of the Marine Biology Department<\/strong><\/a> will find employment in biotechnology companies, green\/environmental organizations, government ministries, government research institutes, environmental consulting organizations, marine monitoring firms, and in a variety of maritime-oriented positions, academic research, and teaching.<\/p>

Graduates of the\u00a0 of Blue Biotechnology and Sustainable Aquaculture Departmen<\/strong>t<\/a> will find employment in research institutions or leading companies in biotechnology, pharmacology, aquaculture, and marine conservation fields.<\/p>

Graduates of the Master’s Program in Maritime Strategy<\/strong> <\/a>will find employment in the security sector (IDF, Ministry of Defense, affiliated units, and defense industries), various government ministries (Transportation, Environmental Protection, Economy, Energy), as well as in private companies and public organizations operating in the maritime sector (such as ZIM, Israel Ports, and others). They will engage with both existing and emerging challenges faced by Israel and the maritime sector concerning activities in the marine domain.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
