Diving center

The diving center of the School of Marine Sciences, located in Kibbutz Sdot Yam, is an essential part of the Morris Kahn Marine Research Station.

The center is recognized by the Israeli Diving Federation and operates under the auspices of the Israeli Sports Diving Act and the American Academy of Underwater Sciences (AAUS).

The center provides training and certification for researchers and student divers at all levels of scuba diving, up to the level of trimix divers and instructors, closed-circuit diving, and AAUS-sponsored scientific diver training.

The center uses the highest quality diving equipment available. It has a compression system designed to compress all the gases and gas mixtures needed for diving up to a depth of 100 meters.

Mr. Eran Rozen, who has been certified as a diving trainer instructor and Diving Safety Officer (DSO), is responsible for the operation and safety of the diving center. A senior member of AAUS, he has over 30 years of experience in the diving industry and serves as a senior diving instructor. Eran also oversees the implementation of diving projects and ongoing maintenance of diving equipment.
